Paris police reports said the two women involved in the protest were detained, wearing T-shirts with the words Riposte Alimentaire (food response).
 
“What’s more important? Art or the right to healthy and sustainable food? Our agricultural system is sick. Our farmers die on the job,” the two female attackers shouted.

They smeared the Mona Lisa with soup at the Louvre. The people in charge say they want to eat healthy and went against La Gioconda. The work is one of the most protected in the world, but the soup works achieved their goal.

The museum announced that it will file a lawsuit against those responsible, the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dari, commented on her “X” account that: “The Mona Lisa, like our heritage, belongs to future generations, no cause can justify attacking it.”
