Mexico. – The politician María Teresa Espinosa Tapia, joins the next elections, from the Morena Party, for the possibility of being at the head of the administration of the municipality of Buenavista.However, the current candidate within her career as a public servant in 2018 was the victim of an attack, it should be noted that the current electoral campaign is being one of the most violent on record. According to data provided by El País, at least until March 25, 34 candidates for public office by popular election withdrew from the electoral campaign by their own decision due to the inclement weather due to the unleashing of organized crime, or because they were executed. Added to this is the recent case of the murder of the then mayor of Churumuco, Guillermo Torres, near the monument to Lázaro Cárdenas in the state capital, and others. In this context, it is important to point out that Buenavista is the municipality for which María Teresa Espinosa is running, it should be noted that it was there that she was injured when she was then a Morena councilor in October 2018 while her colleague, the senior official of the city council, Salvador Núñez González, was shot dead, after suffering an attack. Both were attacked by two hooded individuals while they were walking in the main square of the municipality. Emphasizing the growing violence in the area, it should also be recalled that in July 2018, the elected municipal president of Buenavista, Eliseo Delgado Sánchez, was shot dead by an armed individual while he was in a meeting with the elected councilors of Morena in a restaurant in front of the municipal presidency. And although there were more people in the establishment, the attack was direct against Delgado Sánchez, who died at the scene. This incident is in addition to the previous murder of Javier Ureña González, in charge of the office of the mayor of Buenavista, which occurred on June 27 in an attack perpetrated by armed individuals while he was driving on a road to a nearby community.
