Morelia, Michoacán. – Through the parliamentary group of the National Action Party (PAN), the Congress of the state of Michoacán, opened its doors for young people with an indomitable character to make use of their voice above the rostrum so that they can become more familiar with the functions of a public official who exercises the Legislative Power.Today, April 12, the inauguration of what will be the Youth Parliament in Action 2024 was held, which “seeks to promote the active participation in politics of young people, so that they contribute innovative ideas that solve the complexities that society harbors today”, according to the Coordinator of the Board of Directors of the Legislative Palace, Deputy Laura Ivonne Abascal Pantoja.De such a way that this Parliament offers to be a platform for young people to insert themselves in the democratic process, but also to make their concerns and ideas visible; always working as a team. Within this action, “it is also sought that the laws and experiences are more inclusive and that young people feel empowered,” because in the opinion of the members of the PAN, such as secretaries and counselors present, “young people are at an age where they believe, think and make everything possible, so we have to take advantage of their agency.” To this end, one of the young guests took the floor and declared “we will promote the children’s agenda so that young women can develop fully and feel represented”. It should be noted that as special guests, Carlos Humberto Lucatero Blanco, who is currently a candidate for the Senate for the PAN, Gonzalo Cabrera, the Secretary of Government Action, Lourdes Maldonado as State Councilor and Yesica Farias, the now Councilor of the Morelia City Council, to mention a few, were present.
