A woman died after being intoxicated at an electronic party in Córdoba

A 37-year-old woman died this Wednesday at the Emergency Hospital after being hospitalized in serious condition for poisoning at an electronic party held in Córdoba last weekend. The victim, identified as Alejandra Mara Pereyra, a native of Misiones, arrived in Córdoba accompanied by her boyfriend to attend the show of Argentine DJ Hernán Cattaneo at the Forja complex, located in the Talleres Oeste neighborhood of the Cordoba capital. According to statements by his partner, both had consumed a synthetic drug before entering the party. Ongoing InvestigationProsecutor Carlos Cornejo, in charge of the case, assured that the investigation will continue its usual course, clarifying that Alejandra’s death will not alter the hypotheses on which they are working. “For now there is no person charged and a part of the case goes to Misiones to see where this pill was acquired from,” Cornejo said in dialogue with Mitre 810. “It was ecstasy,” he confirmed, and warned that due to the elaboration of the tablets, it is not known what substances they may contain. Anti-drug operationAssisted by trained dogs, members of the Anti-Drug Trafficking Police Force seized a large amount of synthetic drugs at the parties that took place last weekend. The force reported that during the two nights, at least 83 procedures were carried out in which ecstasy pills, doses of cocaine, marijuana, tusi, ketamine, MDMA and popper were seized. At the same time, it was specified that during the two nights of the event, the health care service attended to at least 29 people – 13 women and 16 men – of which five had to be transferred due to intoxication. However, municipal reports contradict these numbers, since according to these documents only on Saturday 47 people would have been assisted.
