translated from Spanish: Resignation Janine Otálora to the Presidency of the TEPJF

Morelia, Michoacan.-El 2016 November 4 the plenary of the upper room elected me President of the Tribunal Electoral de the power Judicial of the Federation. To take possession of this Honorable custom, I promised to resolve disputes in a fair and legal, with moderation and prudence, and manage public resources with rationality and honesty, commitments that I assumed fully.
Accounts that are delivered at the end of these two years, are clear and transparent. Each one of my votes has been argued and founded exclusively in evidence and the law. The exercise of the budget can be reviewed and audited at any time, as well as my personal accounts.
The recent crisis in which the upper Chamber of the Tribunal has been immersed is part of the tension that this organ is undergoing to resolve political conflicts between the various actors. This crisis was resolved at the time by the own House.
We know that today, the institutional life of Mexico lives a new era and the Electoral Tribunal as an organ of the Judicial power of the Federation must know to adapt to the changes. Therefore, assuming responsibilities for constitutional justice, in order to facilitate the transition from the Court, I have taken the personal decision, ethics and politics of presenting my resignation for the post of President of the Electoral Tribunal.
I thank my colleagues for the confidence placed in me. I acknowledge and thank you also to all persons from various fields: political, academic, journalistic, institutional and civil society, relied on my and I accompanied and supported in the performance of my duties during these 2 years. The regional magistrates and all the local electoral judiciary thank you confidence, particularly in the electoral processes of 2018. Media I thank for their constant critical accompaniment occasionally, eco-always. Acknowledge all contributors of the Electoral Tribunal his great professionalism and appreciate his work.
