The provincial superior of the Institute Secular of the Schoenstatt fathers, Fernando Baeza, confirmed the arrival in Chile of the exobispo of La Serena, Francisco José Cox, investigated for various crimes of sexual abuse committed when serving as a priest.

Cox arrived in Chile on Sunday, February 10, on a flight from the city of Frankfurt. “From this date lies in a private house on the outskirts of Santiago, under the care of a marriage that will be responsible for providing the necessary care that requires his illness”, the statement said.
The former religious, said Schoenstatt, was diagnosed with diabetes, cancer of the prostate and senile dementia, which is in a wheelchair and is insulin dependent.

Cox will face a key date on Feb. 19 at the Serena warranty court where a hearing will be held to determine whether the exsacerdote can be Court under the current criminal justice system. Anyway, the presence of Cox, is not compulsory since it suffices that if any representative.
