Morena’s leader, Yeidckol Polevnsky, said the reform that punishes blockades of works and streets in Tabasco is to prevent blackmail and sabotage against the Dos Bocas refinery project.
“The manifestations are sacred, but it has been designed to manipulate to generate a movement against Dos Bocas. This law is to prevent blackmail and sabotage,” Polevnsky said at conference, according to Reforma.

“There has been and wanted to manipulate an issue to generate supposed mobilizations with other interests, against something that people are asking is the refinery that is being raised, when it is going to generate a lot of jobs in Tabasco,” he added, according to News Televisa.
The Dos Bocas refinery is one of the main infrastructure projects of the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
This Monday, in Tabasco, at the initiative of Governor Adán Augusto López, the full state Congress approved the reform that toughens penalties for preventing the execution of public works, or carrying out street blockades.
The governor argued that the reform guarantees at all times the right of demonstration and free expression, and instead seeks to combat the extortion of trade union groups, or pseudo-unions, that prevent free transit or block works to obtain a profit Own.
Following the approval of the reform to the Criminal Code of Tabasco, the governor @adan_augusto López Hernández said that this ends the extortion that pseudo union leaders exercised, noting that these are of priistic extraction.
