The prosecutor of the Metropolitan South area, Héctor Barros, said prior to the formalization, that “in this investigation we have the accused making the explosive devices, sending them or placing them in a certain place.”
During the hearing, the court dismissed a possible illegality in Gajardo’s detention, which was alleged by his defence, on the ground that, according to his representative, he was not assisted by a lawyer.
Among the cases for which the accused is blamed is the explosion of an explosive device at a Transantiago whereabouts in Vicuña Mackenna, in which five people were injured of varying severity.
