“There is an approach being taken, it is being implemented, today we talk about it, that the National Guard has to have a specific strategy for this purpose, from training to research and preventing femicides,” he explained.
The rate of homicide/femicide victims in the first six months of 2019 is 4.4% higher than in the same period of 2018, the year with the highest annual crime figure to date.
In July, 85 research folders were launched by femicides, last month it was 81 and one before had been 75. The crime has been on the rise since April 74. This month this crime increased by 5%, according to the figures of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP).
