In 2017, Argentine cinema welcomed you to one of the films that would open place and stand out from the billboard: “Zama”. Based on the novel of the same name by Antonio Di Benedetto, he received numerous accolades among them: Silver Condor Awards (Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Art Design, Best Costume Design, Sound and Photography), South Awards, and Platinum Awards.
This year, the film was selected as one of the top ten of the cycle by the British newspaper The Guardian, which made a list of a hundred films in total. Among them “Zama” was recognized at number nine.
