The Ministry of Transport announced more rigid protocols for flights arriving in Argentina, with the intention of controlling the coronavirus. The aim of this new protocol is to “isolate the passenger who has symptoms compatible with COVID-19”.
The new regulations involve all passengers and crews filling out the ‘Traveller Health Statement’ form and obliges airlines to “inform airport authorities of the presence of any possible suspicious cases during the flight before arrival at the airport.” The announcement came after a meeting between the Minister of Tourism, Matías Lammens; Mario Meoni and the Minister of Quality of the Ministry of Health, Arnaldo Medina.
“In the event of a suspicious case, the airline must include the health information in the General Statement of Aircraft and warn air traffic services, prior to their arrival,” adds the statement released by Transportation.Finally, in the event that a possible case of person infected with Covid-19, the international protocol for airport doctors and Border Health personnel will apply
