Morelia, Michoacán.- Faced the large influx of countrymen expected to arrive in Michoacán in the coming weeks, the mayor of Morelia, Raúl Morón Orozco announced that sanitary filters will already be installed in the Bus Terminal and Morelia Airport.
In media interview, the edil said this measure is intended to prevent people from being exposed to the covid-19 virus, as many migrants take advantage of Easter to return to their places of origin.
Questioned about whether this measure was made late, Morón Orozco said it is done in coordination with the Paisano Welcome program.
He reiterated that mass events are suspended and so far the city council has no accounted for or estimated the economic losses that the quarantine will leave in Morelia, since “health is a priority at the moment”.
He also anticipated that the offices of the town hall will operate and in some cases will apply health filters to monitor people entering and leaving the buildings with their proper dose of antibacterial gel.
