The Guerreo Prosecutor’s Office reported that they found the remains of journalist Victor Fernando Alvarez Chávez, reported missing in Guerrero on April 1.

“With pain and helplessness we communicated to the guild that our companion Fernando Alvarez de Guerrero was killed, today the FGE of Guerrero confirms his dismembered body. That’s the fate of journalists in Mexico without the authorities doing anything about it,” the organization said.
