The Guerreo Prosecutor’s Office reported that they found the remains of journalist Victor Fernando Alvarez Chávez, reported missing in Guerrero on April 1.
In a statement, he detailed that on Wednesday, April 8, a cephalic tip was located, in Renaissance City, municipality of Acapulco.
After forensic and expert opinions on genetics, it was found that the human member corresponds to the identity of the journalist who disappeared in the suburban area of the port.

In this regard, the Mexican Association of Displaced and Assaulted Journalists lamented the facts through its Twitter account.
“With pain and helplessness we communicated to the guild that our companion Fernando Alvarez de Guerrero was killed, today the FGE of Guerrero confirms his dismembered body. That’s the fate of journalists in Mexico without the authorities doing anything about it,” the organization said.

Relatives of Alvarez Chávez reported his disappearance on the night of April 1, after the communicator, 53 years old and director of the news portal Punto por Punto, was last seen in the popular colony Renaissance City, located outside the port of Acapulco.
