translated from Spanish: Haitian community condemned guard aggression to compatriot at AFC: “It was an act of cowardice, xenophobia and lack of education”

Following the assault by a guard on a Haitian citizen infected with Covid-19 (according to the system) who was in a row in Chile’s Cesantía Fund Manager (AFC Chile), the Haitian community in Chile lamented and condemned the fact by arguing that what happened was an act of “cowardice, xenophobia and lack of education.”
In conversation with Radio Bio Bio, the community spokesman, Sergino Moreau, argued that “no one deserves such treatment, no matter their nationality, race or social class.” In that regard, he announced that “we will put in all the resources necessary for justice to be done.” With regard to what happened with the Haitian citizen, who was transferred to a central station health hotel, Moreau noted that this is “evidence of the lack of coordination between health authorities and municipalities.”
He also stated that “according to the mayor of Renca, a commune in which our compatriot resides, he had completed his quarantine period which ended on 8 April, so the procedure was wrong.”
As reported by the building of that commune, Claudio Castro, to the citizen in question was given a new test that came negative after having completed his quarantine. However, he was also given a seven-day leave.
