translated from Spanish: Extend enrollment for Progress Scholarships: How to Sign Up

Through resolution No. 193/2020, the Ministry of Education of the Nation reported the extension in the registration of the Progress scholarships for the line of Completion of Compulsory Education – primary and secondary – up to 30 days after social isolation, preventive and mandatory.

Since March 1, registration with the National Social Security Administration (Anses) has been open for those who want to access the Progresar 2020 scholarships. Benefit amounts vary by category and range from $1,750 to $6,900 per month. In order to maintain equity in its policies, the educational portfolio decided to extend the registration period, accompanying the measures provided by President Alberto Fernández to extend quarantine within the framework of the pandemic by Covid-19.

The new extension arises from the need to continue to provide opportunities for the most vulnerable sectors of the population, understanding the difficulties they may have in terms of the modality of registration. Registration is through the anses portal. The general requirements for access to the Program are: Be between 18 and 24 years of age;
Be Argentine or Argentinian native or naturalized with ID and have 5 years of residence in the country;
Not owning a national, provincial or municipal social plan or program;
That the income of the young person and/or of his/her household (father, mother or convivial partner) does not exceed 3 minimum, vital and mobile wages (the SMVM to date amounts to $16,875);
Be a regular student of an institution or present the certificate of enrollment to a professionalization course.

The Argentine Student Support Program was created in 2014 to generate opportunities for social inclusion for vulnerable young people, through integrated actions that enable their training and job insertion. In this note:
