Pátzcuaro Michoacán.- With the collaboration of 150 workers and officials from all areas of government, the administration run by municipal President Victor Manuel Báez Ceja, went out on Friday to deliver at home a total of 3 thousand pantries for the same number of families in conditions of economic vulnerability, which add to the food supports that were delivered from this week in the community canteens of the Eréndira and Vista del Lago centers , as well as the 300 pantries delivered by the municipal DIF.
“The entry of phase three of the pandemic, the one most at risk of COVID-19 or Coronavirus contagion, marked the time to support the families that paralyzed their productive activity. For more than a month we have been paralyzing all public activity and gradually did the same with non-essential shops and restricted activity in public spaces; also for more than a month, we have informed through the media, radio, television, print media and web portals, and in our social networks about the need for the population to abide by social isolation measures, that all patzcuarens must assume to prevent the contagions of this new virus from bringing lives that we can all save.”
“This is a job that requires the sum of all, citizens and government, the instances of the Health Jurisdiction of Pátzcuaro have worked in a coordinated way with the municipal government and we will spare no effort to care for the population,” the mayor added.
Victor Báez pointed out that food support will be repeated for at least four weeks that the most contagion phase is expected, benefiting more than 4,500 families, all pre-valued so that the support reaches families who do not have other government supports of any of the three orders. “We make a very important effort, which is possible because of discipline in spending and reduced spending in other areas that are not considered indispensable at the moment,” he said.
