Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán.- Within the strategy implemented by the Government of the State to address the contingency by COVID-19, the Ministry of Health of Michoacán (SSM), oversaw the adaptations to the Naval Hospital of Lazaro Cardenas.
The medical unit of the Ministry of the Navy, which has 40 census beds and 20 non-census beds, will provide exclusive care to positive cases of COVID-19.
SSM holder Diana Carpio Ríos met with Frigate Captain and Naval Hospital director Horacio Mariacca Chávez and regional chief Silvia Estrada Esquivel, with whom she reviewed the latest details of the adaptations, with special attention to the oxygen system.
With 50 fans and 50 vital sign monitors and the integration of physicians, specialists and nurses from IMSS, ISSSTE and SSM, previously trained in care and protection protocols, the operation of the hospital unit will be strengthened.
The State Government has maintained coordinated inter-agency work to address the pandemic and ensure the well-being of the population.
