Morelia, Michoacán.- The 60 percent of the calls made by women seeking attention for gender-based violence, are coming from the municipality of Morelia.
With a cut made yesterday, 06 May, the Secretariat for Substantive Equality and Development of Michoacana Women (Seimujer), has attended 200 calls for help during the contingency period before the SARS-CoV-12 virus, as reported by the owner of the unit, Nuria Gabriela Abarca Hernández.
Of the previous figure, 60 percent were made by morelian women, while the rest corresponds to the municipalities of Zamora, Tacámbaro, Parácuaro, Pátzcuaro, Huandacareo, Ocampo, Uruapan, Los Reyes, Zacapu, Hidalgo, Coalcomán, Quiroga Panindícuaro, Sal Lucas, Alvaro Obregón, Lázaro Cárdenas and Ario de Rosales.
Another highlight is that of 100 per cent of calls received and answered, 65 per cent are psychological violence, 22 per cent to physical violence and 13 per cent to economic violence against females.

The line of attention, containment and guidance, was opened by Seimujer on the occasion of the pandemic by Covid-19, which forces isolation at home leaving many women living with their aggressor vulnerable.
