Federal health authorities reported on Monday on the record of another 239 deaths from COVID-19, giving a total so far 7,633 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic in Mexico.
With that figure, Mexico overcame Iran and ranked as the ninth country with the most death for coronavirus, according to the Johns Hopkins University count.
A day earlier, on May 25, 7,394 deaths and 68,620 confirmed cases were reported.
This Monday was given the data of 71,105 accumulated cases, of which 14,020 are active, of people with symptoms in the last 14 days. Mexico City and the State of Mexico have the majority of cases of “active epidemic”.
In terms of health care, Guerrero continued to have the highest level of occupancy of his general hospitalization beds, with 78%, followed by Mexico City, with 73%
Regarding intensive care beds, the nation’s capital had 65% occupancy and Baja California 53%, the entities with the highest levels.
