The Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office, according to the newspaper Reforma, indicated that the body of Juan Carlos and that of another person was located this June 24 under a bridge in the municipality of Cuauhtémoc.
The young man had been reported missing since last Tuesday, June 23.
“The Autonomous University of Chihuahua adds to the grief that seizes the Veleta Jáquez family, after the death of our student Juan Carlos Veleta Jáquez. He was in the 8th semester of his Aerospace Engineering degree at the Faculty of Engineering,” the school posted on his Facebook account.
“Our deepest condolences to family members, teachers and classmates. We remain attentive to appropriate investigations to find out who or who is responsible for this criminal and regrettable murder. Rest in Peace,” he added.
