The situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Portugal had a new counterpoint in recent hours after new outbreaks of contagion in 19 districts of the capital. That is why the Government of Antonio Costa decided to backtrack on the relief of restrictive measures and to decree again mandatory confinement in the affected areas. In addition, fines of between EUR 100 and EUR 5,000 were warned for those who fail to comply with the noticeable distance rules. With a total of 4,0145 cases and 1,579 death, the Government is unwilling to go back in the fight against the epidemic. In fact, the Executive of Costa itself has expressed his displeasure at the measures taken in the old continent that allow the movement of people.
The truth is that from the reports recorded, Portugal has been the country with the most infected for every 100,000 inhabitants for 15 days, behind only the cases of Luxembourg and Suecia.Es to a large extent this which explains the upsurge in the measures in times where the arrival of summer stimulates meetings with outdoor music , increasingly becoming visible the lack of estrangement required. For this reason, Amadora, Odivelas, Santa Clara, Loures, Queluz or Cacem are some of the areas where the Government chose to be necessary to stay at home, contemplating that for the moment, isolation is the only effective measure in the fight against coronavirus.
