I’m a lover of all music. While my specialty is funk, I like all kinds of music and as a producer I have learned to work with all kinds of music. This song has pop tints but its core is totally funk, it’s as pop like Bruno Mars, like “Uptown Funk,” that kind of pop that’s not swaying. I don’t have rolls with that, I love it and I also like that pop alleviates things a little bit. I think right now we need to ease the stress and burden we all have a little bit.
How did the collaboration occur with Josefina?

I met the Jose in musicals, because I’ve worked on several musicals. And I found her very cool, very talented in the musical part, apart from her acting and dance part, and I invited her for that. The Jose is super squeathing, she is a very good vibe friend and that I loved in her aura, in her vibe. She always has that super positive energy and I loved that of her, in what she’s doing delivers everything and that’s why I wanted to invite her. We already recorded the video of this song that is coming now very later and the Jose breaks it there, saved me the video.

How has the pandemic affected you?

Strong, I’ve been just as lucky that I had productions scheduled and the people I’m working with have kept their commitments. And, on the other hand, you have to reinvent yourself. I’ve been recording for artists, also the prices you charge have to adapt them to the current reality of people, so it’s not that simple. But you just have to hit it. I feel lucky, even though it’s hard I know there are people who are worse off, so I can’t be crying so much either.
How do you glimpse the future?

I find it difficult, but I see that here the one who reinvents himself is going to survive, the one who won’t suffer much. The good thing is that music naturally has its space. It’s crazy because I feel that there’s not much respect for the arts in general in this country, artists don’t have any kind of social security. But still people make their way to music because they can’t be without music. I hope that this will be noted and that in time we will see a commitment on the part of the country, of governments and of people, with their music.
