Uruapan, Michoacán.- An ammonia leak registered at the avocado processing company “Calavo de México”, located in this city of Uruapan, left a total of 49 intoxicated workers, of which 19 required transfer to a hospital, according to information provided by the police authorities and to help this news agency.
The event was between the night of the previous Thursday and the early morning of this Friday. The company is on the Uruapan-Carapan road in the El Capulín colony.
The site was quickly reached by elements of the State Civil Protection Coordination of the Uruapan Region to address the emergency in coordination with the Uruapan Firefighters and the Red Cross.
