In the country, 8,036 educational establishments participated and in the Biobío region 761 establishments enabled 109,000 quotas. This year the process entered the regime, applying to all levels of teaching, whose application was made 100% online on the sistemadeadmisionescolar.cl.
In addition, 120 support points were established in the region, for those who were unable to do so in their homes or required additional assistance, and a special permit was provided in the quarantined communes in comisariavirtual.cl.
At the same time, the telephone application was opened via Ayuda Mineduc, at 600 600 2626, for those with little or no internet access.
The Seremi de Educación del Biobío, Fernando Peña, recalled that “this September 8, at 23:59 hours closes the portal of application to the School Admission System, which this year had the characteristic of having been totally online, about the pandemic, thus privileging attentions through the call center and on the platform available for applications”.
Another novelty this year was the contents arranged in www.sistemadeadmisionescolar.cl/ There interested parties found virtual maps with nearby educational venues and vacancies available, since families could not attend the establishments to meet them in person. More than 900 schools, schools and high schools sent videos that were posted on the platform.
Upcoming dates and deadlines
It should be recalled that between 24 September and 6 October, special admission procedures (establishments with PIE and high demand) will be carried out.
The results of the main period will be published from 26 to 30 October. The waiting lists will be released between 10 and 11 November.
The supplementary application period will be from 24 to 30 November and the final publication of the results was left for 11 December.
