On 29 November 2019, Judge Miriam de Jesús Cámara Patrón concluded that the defendant authorities had discriminated against the girl on the grounds of her disability, ordering them to submit within 10 days “an action plan concerning the structural modifications they intend to make on the educational campus to ensure accessibility” of both Elvia and “any other person with disabilities”.
In addition, it ordered them to submit an action plan to provide “training workshops for campus staff and a programme of talks to be given to students and parents of that school, both on the issue of treatment of persons with disabilities”, including the disability with which Elvia lives.
