At least 18 firelights remain active in Córdoba, Salta, Tucumán, Jujuy, San Luis, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos, while they managed to extinguish the floodlights found in four other districts, as the National Fire Management Service (SNMF) today unveiled. The report indicated that in Cordoba they managed to control and put out the fires in the cities of Alpa Corral and Villa de Soto, while in Capilla del Monte and Villa Las Rosas the active spotlights continue. Salta, the most affected province, maintains fires in Santa Rosa, Aguaray, General Mosconi, Capital (San Lorenzo), La Viña, La Pedrera, Tartagal, Urundel and Pichanal.
In addition, it was revealed that in Tucumán there are active focuses in Cumbres de Santa Ana and Burruyacú, two others controlled in Yánima (Pedemonte) and Finca la Calera, while Cerro Kiko’s was extinguished. In Jujuy it managed to extinguish in San Salvador, but still some remain in La Unión Seca, next to the Calilegua National Park, and in Ledesma. In Catamarca the fire that plagued Ambato was put out, and in Tama, La Rioja, the same thing happened.
In San Luis, for its part, the flames are kept active in Villa de la Quebrada. In Mendoza and Neuquén all the fires of the province were extinguished and finally it was stated that in Santa Fe a fire is kept active in the Islands of Santa Fe National Park and, in Entre Ríos the same happens with fire in the area of Boca de la Milonga.
