translated from Spanish: Deputies will present project to decree on October 25 as a national holiday

On October 25th it will be marked in Chile by two things: by the Plebiscite that ended with a change of constitution and by last year’s historic march. Because of this, there are already voices who want to declare the day as a holiday.
He stated this to Radio Biobío, Pablo Vidal, deputy of the Democratic Revolution (RD), who announced that together with his pair of the Liberal Party, Vlado Mirosevic will present a bill to decree a holiday on October 25.
“October 25 is based on these two milestones, both institutionally and citizenly and spontaneously on the street, as a day of a widely participatory and deeply democratic country. And I think that should be remembered,” he said.
According to Vidal, the project should be admitted to Congress tonight, so that on Tuesday he will notice in the Chamber Chamber,
“I hope it can be started processing tomorrow at the Committee on Internal Government,” he added.
Alongside those mentioned, the project is signed by Maya Fernández and Daniela Cicardini (PS), Tucapel Jiménez and Andrea Parra (PPD), Joanna Pérez (DC), Marcela Hernando (PR), Alejandro Bernales (Liberal) and Natalia Castillo (RD).
