“Malcolm & Marie” is the film that brings zendaya (“Euphoria”, “Spider-Man away from home”) and John David Washington (“Tenet”, “BlacKkKlansman”), both also producing an intimate drama about a couple’s bond. The film simply has the performances of the protagonists, which makes the project quite interesting, which will be characterized by a climate of closeness, as if the viewers were present witnesses of what happens inside their house.

The synopsis will develop the night when “a filmmaker, Malcolm (Washington), returns home to his girlfriend Marie (Zendaya) after the release of a celebratory film while waiting for what is sure to be an imminent critical and financial success. “Malcolm & Marie” is directed by Sam Levinson, creator and screenwriter of “Euphoria” (the lead who gave Zendaya the Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series), who organized the recordings during the month of June when isolation began to loosen in Calofornia. Filming at Caterpillar House, a property belonging to the architecture studio Feldman located in Monterey, became one of the first Hollywood projects to return to action.

She was selected at the Toronto Film Festival – as detailed by Vogue magazine – as one of the relevant films of the year – where Netflix acquired it for its platform. That said, “Malcolm & Marie” seeks to make a place in the Oscar nominations as well as “Fragments of a Woman,” produced by Martin Scorsese, “Hillbilly Elegy,” with Amy Adams and Glenn Close; “Mank,” with Gary Oldman; “The Mother of the Blues” with Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman’s latest performance – which will also be available in the Red N stream. So it will premiere on February 5, days after the gala begins.
