Morelia, Michoacán.- The federal deputy for the Morena party, Carlos Torres Piña, claimed to trust that the national leadership will be able to manage the survey to define the candidate for the governor of Michoacán.
At a press conference, the legislator said that last Saturday he went to Morena’s offices nationally to submit his registration as an aspiring candidate for the Michoacán government and claimed to have the political strength to obtain it.
Although 28 aspiring people registered last weekend, Torres Piña said he will respect the decision made from the survey and reiterated that he has an electoral agenda focused on addressing security, field support and industry promotion issues.
“On the tours we do inside the state we have seen that the population is very concerned about security issues and we made a final document that we will make known to them very soon,” he explained.
Questioned about how he sees michoacán’s fact as the entity with the highest number of candidates for the gubernatura by Morena, said that the Elections Commission has an important task to define who will be the four profiles that will enter the survey and before 30 January it will be known who the candidate is.
In case it does not turn out to be selected for the candidacy, Torres Piña said that he will support the applicant, as his intention is to add and not subtract from the project that Morena has ready for Michoacán in 2021.
