translated from Spanish: Municipality of Epitacio Huerta joins Citizen Movement

Morelia, Michoacán.- This weekend the Citizen House was inaugurated in Epitacio Huerta, and also protested by the Municipal Operational Commission of Citizen Movement in that town, as announced in a statement.
The event was led by Giovani Marcelino Morales, Secretary of Agreements of the State Operational Commission, who came on behalf of Luis Manuel Antúnez Oviedo, National Delegate, and was accompanied by Abraham Sánchez, a pre-party to the state government for Citizen Movement.
Who took protest as Coordinator of the Municipal Operational Commission in Epitacio Huerta was Rosario Soto Vega, who expressed that it is time to set a new course for the region by boosting citizens’ participation and snating spaces from traditional parties.
Highlighting the call to the population not to be afraid and to participate decisively in its municipality, he said that Movimiento Ciudadano is a vehicle for citizens to reach the decision-making spaces and from there drive the change that the municipality requires.
“We are fed up, tired, that they only use us electorally,” and to reverse the inequality it faces, he said, “we need a citizen government, solidarity, to work with and for each of us.”
Here, the pre-candidate Abraham Sánchez, in accompanying and approaching the structure of citizen movement in Michoacán, said that he made the decision to register in the internal process by applying for the government of the state, in order to participate in the construction of a Citizen Government that meets the urgent needs of Michoacán that need to be resolved.
“Like you, I’m sick of the outrages, that government after government ignores us citizens,” he said.
Abraham Sanchez said that only united citizens, together, organized, will be able to bring about change and evolution in the way they rule in Michoacán and return power to those who belong to them, to the citizens themselves.
“As a citizen I also see, like you, the problems of this state, but we must also see the solutions, to build them, and this is where all of us have an immediate responsibility to our communities, to our municipalities, and that is why we must participate,” Abraham Sanchez emphasized.
For his part, the Secretary of Agreements, Giovani Marcelino Morales, recognized Abraham Sánchez in his intention to participate, to raise his hand and demonstrate that if citizens make up their minds they can radically change their reality and build the governments they really deserve.
“No one is going to give us anything; no one is going to do for us what we are not ready to do for ourselves,” Giovani Marcellin emphasized in calling on citizens to participate wisely in building new ways of governing.
In addition to rosario Soto Vega’s protest takeover, as Municipal Coordinator, they also assumed: Lorena Mondragon Mendoza, as Delegate of Women on the Move; Juan Nuñez Rubio, Secretary of Citizen Circles; Diana Soto Vega, Delegate of young people on the move; Marcos Zepeda Soto, Secretary of Citizen Engagement and Participation; Abel Soto Vega, Secretary of Social Management; Maricruz Peña Sanchez, Delegate of Mexico with values; Juan Tovar Dorantes, Delegate of the culture-in-motion foundation; Silvia Perez Martinez, Delegate for Human Rights and Social Inclusion.
