A blackout was introduced on Monday that affected 4.8 million users, mainly in Nuevo León, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Chihuahua, Zacatecas and Durango.
The winter storm in the southern United States caused the infrastructure and pipelines for which Texas supplies natural gas to Mexico to freeze, so the flow stopped, unbalanced electricity production and demand.
