This is the extension of Emergency Family Income to 80% of families enrolled in the Social Household Registry. As reported, it was 100 thousand pesos that will be paid to each household member, with no requirements or income cap. “We want to announce a better benefit, greater coverage, greater universality of the IFE (…) will be paid in April, May and June,” Piñera said, ensuring that it seeks to “expand coverage and simplify its procedures.” The amndatarian also argued that he would reach “13 million compatriots (…) doubling the IFE’s coverage that was paid last March.” In doing so, he exemplified that a family of four will receive 400 thousand each month. And in the case of those who had the benefit in April, they will be automatically granted in the next three months without any formalities.
