A woman kept her 8-year-old daughter locked in the refrigerator, for which she was arrested on Thursday and faces child abuse charges in Florida, local authorities reported. Carolina Alvarez of Hialeah, South Florida, said she locked her daughter in the refrigerator to protect her from radiation; it was a relative who reported the case to the police and the woman was arrested.
