Morelia, Michoacán.- Today, closes the call for the Presea “Amalia Solórzano Bravo”, so that women or institutions of public women, private or legal persons who have interest in participating, will have until this Monday, June 21 to deliver the required documentation, so they informed in a statement.
This decoration is awarded by the Government of Morelia, and is addressed to the women’s sector, with the aim of recognizing those who have worked in favor of women and for the construction of a society with justice and equality.
According to the call issued by the General Council, applicants to receive the Presea, must be over 30 years of age, of Mexican nationality; have distinguished herself by her social work for the benefit of the most vulnerable population, by defending the human rights of women, by her work in favor of women in situations of gender violence and being of recognized human quality.

Meanwhile, public, private or legal women’s institutions must be legally constituted and have clear evidence of having carried out recognized social actions for the benefit of women, aimed at promoting their rights, combating violence against women, as well as improving the physical, psychological, social, educational and family status of the women’s sector.

Natural persons must provide the following documents: a copy of the birth certificate and official identification; updated curriculum vitae; a statement describing the main actions carried out in favour of Morelian women, as well as a letter(s) proposed in original, issued by an educational institution, civil association, private assistance institution, government agency or any other type that considers that it can accredit the work carried out.
For their part, public institutions, private or legal entities, must prove through their Decree of Creation and / or constitutive act the existence of the same, they must also provide official identification of the owner or legal representative; a description describing the main actions carried out in favour of women and the proposed letter(s) in original, issued by an educational institution, civil association, private assistance institution, government body or any other type of body that considers that it can accredit the work carried out.
This Monday is the deadline to receive the documentation, which can be delivered to the offices of the Municipal Institute for Women for Substantive Equality (IMUJERIS), located on Manuel Pérez Coronado Street No. 35, in the Camelinas neighborhood.
