As of August 2, the registration of adults from 65 to 67 years old to the pension will begin, which seeks to incorporate 2.2 million people of this age range into the program, said the undersecretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel Reyes.
In a morning press conference, he said that this new plan aims to incorporate 450 thousand people every two months, for 5 months.
That is, in July and August 450 thousand elderly people will be incorporated, giving priority to the population of the poorest municipalities and colonies; in September and October they will join another 450 thousand adults of this age range and so on until reaching March-April.
The total number of people incorporated into the pension program will be two million 228 thousand 854 older adults from all over the country.
“We are going to distribute it in five bimestres, first the poorest areas and we are going to go little by little until we reach the whole, so that throughout the country we are going to open the incorporation, but we are going to go in stages. The poorest municipalities, the most remote, will enter all the elderly from the first two months,” he said.

He explained that registration modules would be installed throughout the country for registration; for rural areas, they will be placed in the headquarters where the pension is already paid to the elderly; in urban areas, they will be installed in public squares.
He indicated that in the places where they registered, right there they will be given the Welfare card.
The elderly receive 3,100 pesos of pension every two months.

Requirements to register for the elderly pension
The documents that the elderly must bring to the pension registration modules are:
*Official identification (voting card, military card, professional card, INAPAM credential).
*CURP
*Birth Certificate.
*Proof of address.
*Provide a contact phone number.
You can also register an assistant, a person who on future occasions can help them to carry out some procedure.
In the case of older adults who are sick or disabled, a registration will be made to later go to their home to carry out their procedure.

Accompanied by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the Undersecretariat of Welfare said that to date 8 million two thousand 427 people are beneficiaries of the pension for the elderly, which means an investment from January to August 2021 of more than 91 billion pesos.
Regarding the delivery of resources for the july-august bimonthly, he said that it has an advance of 95%, so that at the cut of July 19 the pension has been delivered to 7.67 million elderly and the investment made is 23 thousand 790 million pesos.
