Hospitality and Gastronomy is one of the most important economic sectors in the country however this activity was one of the hardest hit in the last two years due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, a reactivation plan has been carried out that turned out to be a success and the workers of this sector are preparing for a summer season with a good pace. The 3.9 million tourists who mobilized the last long weekend, 25% more than the same periods before the pandemic, generated occupancy levels of accommodation above 90%, which had an economic impact of 12 billion pesos and generated the best expectations for the summer.
