As reported by the agency, two of the fatalities have already been identified, while among the injured there are 41 people with burns. In addition, ten people were rescued in the Lumajang area of East Java province, where lava destroyed at least one bridge. On Sunday, evacuations were temporarily suspended because of ash clouds, Indonesian broadcaster Metro TV reported. While there is also a risk that heavy rains will cause ash sediments to form a new river of hot lava, popular Indonesian volcanologist Surono has warned.
