Chile recorded 35,841 new positive cases of coronavirus and 94 deaths

In the last 24 hours, Chile registered a total of 35,841 new positive cases of coronavirus and a total of 94 deaths, within the framework of the increase in infections linked to the Ómicron variant. According to the official report of the Ministry of Health of the neighboring country, this Saturday the results of 124,704 tests nationwide were announced, of which a record number of positivity of 26.79% was obtained. ” Of the 35,841 new cases of COVID-19, 20,419 are symptomatic people and 5,027 have no symptoms. In addition, a total of 10,395 positive tests were detected that were not reported,” the report states.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 2,582,934 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Chile, where 2,404,031 recovered cases were registered. Meanwhile, the number of deaths in the country amounts to 40,464 deaths.
