President Gabriel Boric participated in the 92nd anniversary of the creation of the Chilean Air Force

The Chilean Air Force (FACh) held at the beginning of March the opening ceremony of the Month of Air and Space 2022, with flights of F-16 aircraft over Santiago, in the run-up to the ceremony that takes place this Monday, March 21 at the El Bosque Air Base and that has the presence of President Gabriel Boric.

Decree No. 1,167, signed by Carlos Ibáñez del Campo, gave rise to the National Air Force (FAN) on March 21, 1930.
The President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, visited the Captain Manuel Ávalos Prado Aviation School for the 92nd anniversary of the Air Force (Fach).
In addition to the newly appointed President, the event was attended by Defense Minister Maya Fernández and various military authorities.

During the ceremony, the Commander in Chief of the FACh, Arturo Merino Núñez said that “the multipurpose characteristics of our means and the polyfunctionalities of our people, have allowed us to materialize air operations aimed at providing support to different State institutions, highlighting among them carried out in service of the national health system, but also other supports have been made such as those required by the community in isolated areas, cooperation with institutional flights in the prevention of forest fire fighting and multiple other requirements of different magnitude”.
