Boca tied with Vélez and failed to stay with the tip of zone B

After two painful defeats at the beginning of the Copa Libertadores, Vélez Sarsfield and Boca Juniors drew tonight without goals in Liniers, and in this way, the visitor did not manage to stay with the top of the championship, in one of the matches corresponding to the ninth round of zone B, of the Cup of the Professional Football League (LPF). In this sense, those led by Sebastián Battaglia, who continues to be criticized for not finding a functioning, equaled Tigre in the standings of group B and both share the top with 16 units. For their part, those of Liniers, who are under the interim of Julio Vaccari, reaped only 10 points and do not seem to approach the qualifying zone towards the quarterfinals.

As for the game, with two alternative teams, both stripped away part of their limitations, but did not take advantage as they lamented the lack of depth in the final meters. The local maintained greater possession, while in the Xeneize the level of “Pol” Fernández was not highlighted and did not sustain the game in the midfield. In the second half, both teams attacked even more but the result did not change and points were shared. Due to the poor results of the Fortín, its fans shouted and insulted the president Sergio Rapisarda and all his Board of Directors with a lot of anger after the draw. Now, Boca will play this Tuesday against Always Ready of Bolivia and Vélez, on the other hand, will face Bragantino of Brazil, also for the Cup.
