Larreta: Let’s not with the hawks and pigeons anymore, we’re going to win the election in 2023

The head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, was optimistic about the next elections in 2023, so much so that he assured the victory and called for forgetting “that boludez of the hawks and pigeons”. In this sense, the opposition leader did not confirm his candidacy for next year during the meeting of La Generación Argentina, the youth of Together for Change, which had as protagonists María Eugenia Vidal, Martín Tetaz and Maximiliano Ferraro. Thus, he argued that it is necessary to work on a consensus “much broader, but not with all,  with Kirchnerism and the left we are never going to agree, there is no way,” and added: “They believe in a country where you have to ban the export of meat and where inflation is dominated by price controls, as they said, and then inflation doubled, from 3% to 6% per month.”
In this way, the communal chief maintained that “the key is that one day the history books recognize us, not Monday’s diary; we have to build a government that turns around 70 or 80 years of decline in this country.” On the other hand, he revealed that in Together for Change “there are differences”, but asked that “we do not be scandalized”, because “if we are not together, we do not win an election in the fucking life”, in a clear message to the internal opposition. In addition, he added: “Let’s know that a project is heterogeneous, that differences will pass, but that when the potatoes burn, when there is an election or when we have to vote on a law together, as happened with the IMF issue, we will be. We saved the country from default, we.” After the hints to Kirchnerism, he continued with the self-criticism: Let’s not anymore with that boludez of the hawks and pigeons, here the difference is between those who change people’s lives and those who do not change it. Thinking about 2023 and his possible victory, he commented: “It takes a lot of eggs, and ovaries too, we are too correct sometimes, let’s break the mold a little, get a little dripped a little more, let’s make mistakes, let’s ask for a little more forgiveness and less permission.” Finally, he took aim at Javier Milei after revealing his intentions to eliminate the Central Bank and move towards dollarization: “If anyone comes with that, let’s say it’s ridiculous. Let’s not be original… There are no magic solutions. How many countries dollarized the economy? Ecuador, El Salvador, there is no more… Every time there were original solutions like these it was like ortho.”
