A 70-year-old man resisted a robbery and murdered the 19-year-old offender

A 70-year-old man murdered a 19-year-old criminal and also wounded another alleged thief, after resisting an assault in the city of Rosario. The fact was classified by the prosecutor as “a case of self-defense.” This unfortunate event happened at 21 on Wednesday at the access to the highway to Cordoba, where two young people positioned themselves on the Wilde bridge and threw stones to damage the vehicles or burst the tires, in order to stop and steal them, something that happened a lot in recent days. 

In this way, a Peugeot 308 in which two men were traveling stopped its march, and one of them carried a 9-millimeter caliber pistol with which he confronted the assailants, of which one ended up dead and the other, wounded. While one of them carried a revolver. The victim was identified as Axel Eric Sebastián Giles (19), while his accomplice was brought to justice. For his part, the prosecutor of the Intentional Homicides unit, Ademar Bianchini, considered that it is a “case of self-defense.” For his part, the man who killed the young man will be charged with “illegal carrying of a firearm”, because he did not have the necessary documentation to carry the weapon.
