The Argentine driver, Franco Colapinto, won the Formula 3 Sprint race at the Imola circuit, the stage that hosted the second round of the season. Victor Martins and Jak Crawford were his bodyguards. After qualifying in 12th place, Colapinto benefited from the grid reversal for the Saturday final and started from pole position. Despite this situation, he did not take advantage of his departure because Caio Collet overtook him on the fourth lap and left him second.
