The Argentine driver, Franco Colapinto, won the Formula 3 Sprint race at the Imola circuit, the stage that hosted the second round of the season. Victor Martins and Jak Crawford were his bodyguards. After qualifying in 12th place, Colapinto benefited from the grid reversal for the Saturday final and started from pole position. Despite this situation, he did not take advantage of his departure because Caio Collet overtook him on the fourth lap and left him second. In this sense, the Argentine remained second, behind the Brazilian, but the concerns did not cease: he had to be attentive to the great performance of Isack Hadjar, who had been advancing from behind. In turn 13, everything was neutralized by the cluelessness that involved Reece Ushijima and Federico Malvestiti.
With three laps to go, speed took over the circuit again and Colapinto overtook Collet. In addition, he benefited from the touch the Brazilian had with Hadjar, so he reached the goal with tranquility. Thus, Colapinto conquered his first victory in the third category on the ladder to Formula 1. Finally, it was confirmed that the activity of Formula 3 will be tomorrow at 3:50 (Race Time) with the dispute of the Feature Race.
