They ask for preventive detention for 9 police officers linked to drug trafficking

According to judicial sources, the prosecutor’s office requested preventive detention for a captain and eight members of the Buenos Aires Police who were arrested last month, within the framework of an investigation into the crime of a man who would be linked to drug trafficking. The prosecution accused them of “having seized a quantity of cocaine that had been kidnapped in an operation carried out after the crime of a narco.” The presentation was carried out by the fiscal agent Gabriela Urrutia in charge of the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) 10 of General Rodríguez, before Judge Adriana Julián of the Court of Guarantees 1 of the same judicial department. The case began with the murder of José “Diosito” Gutiérrez (32) during the night of February 15. That day, two individuals surprised the victim and executed her with two shots in the chest area and on the right back. The investigation determined that the murderers shouted at Gutiérrez to deliver the stolen drug to a narco in José C. Paz.Urrutia requested the preventive detention of the troops for “aggravated robbery for being committed in a town and in a gang, for the use of a weapon and for being members of a security force in real competition with ideological falsity of public document and possession of narcotics for marketing purposes.” He also requested the precautionary measure so that the investigation of the drug trafficking case is not hindered. The arrest of the troops involved was on April 22 in several raids carried out by personnel of the Superintendence of Federal Investigations of the Federal Police, which had the support of police from the Departmental Support Group of Moreno.As detailed to Télam, during the procedures more than a dozen cell phones were kidnapped, notes and the regulatory weapons of the detainees.
