On June 2, 1988, Sergio Leonel Agüero was born in Buenos Aires, who became one of the most outstanding Argentine footballers of recent times. Despite having retired from football at the end of last year due to heart problems, the “Kun” had an outstanding career in Spain and England. In addition, he gave himself the pleasure of obtaining a title with the Argentine National Team in the Copa America 2021.The “Kun”, who adopted his nickname for a Japanese cartoon since childhood, began as a footballer in Independiente de Avellaneda, where he stood out from a young age, since on July 5, 2003 he debuted as a professional with only 15 years, one month and three days. In fact, at that time, he became the youngest player to debut in the First Division of Argentine football.

In 2003, Oscar Ruggeri, coach of Independiente at the time, made Agüero debut in the first of the club.

After three years in the “Red”, he left at the age of 18 to Atlético de Madrid, an institution that paid 20 million euros for his pass. In the “Colchonero”, he remained for five years in which he played 234 games, scored 101 goals. In addition, he won the 2009/10 Europa League and the 2010 UEFA Super Cup, titles that ended a streak of 48 years without continental consecrations for the Spanish cast. In mid-2011 and in exchange for 35 million euros, Agüero would sign with Manchester City, a club that was beginning to climb with a huge financial investment. In the first season in the English cast, he had an outstanding performance, as he scored the agonizing goal against Queens Park Rangers that gave the institution the Premier League after 44 years.

Sergio Aguero gave Manchester City the title in 2012 on the last play of the match.

In total, he recorded 390 appearances and 260 goals at Manchester City, with whom he won 15 trophies: 5 Premier League, 1 FA Cup, 3 Community Shield and 6 League Cup. However, in his last game he was left with the thorn of not lifting the Champions League that he dreamed so much of the club. At 33 years old, Agüero signed free for Barcelona of Spain. However, his time in the Catalan cast was not long, since on October 30, 2021 he had to ask for the change in the match against Alavés when he noticed a heart discomfort. The first studies that were carried out showed that he had suffered an arrhythmia and that he would be off the playing fields for 90 days.

At Barcelona, he participated in five matches, two as a starter, and scored his last goal in the classic against Real Madrid.

A month and a half later, and after the tests they performed and with the recommendation of the doctors, Sergio decided to put an end to his professional career. At a press conference held at the Camp Nou, a moved Kun made the official announcement. As for his time in the Argentine national team, he had an outstanding performance in the youth, where he was consecrated champion of the U-20 World Cup in the editions of Holland 2005 and Canada 2007. He was also a gold medalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

In the major, he played the World Cups in South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018. In turn, he played the Copa America Argentina 2011, Chile 2015, United States 2016, Brazil 2019 and was consecrated champion in Brazil 2021, in the Maracanã itself, this being his last contest with the national team. On the other hand, because of the pandemic, the former footballer generated a great impact on social networks when he began to make live broadcasts on Twitch. At the same time, the former Independiente player got into the world of esports. In fact, he formed his own team, Krü, which has excelled in several national and international competitions over the past few months.

In 2020, Agüero created his esports team, KRÜ.

Despite having suddenly retired from football, the “Kun” has had a spectacular career as a player and seems to be embarking on the same path as an entrepreneur and streamer.
