President Alberto Fernández met today at the Residencia de Olivos, with some of the officials who will accompany him to the Summit of the Americas. The meeting aimed to prepare what will be the participation of Argentina in the Summit, which will be held next week in Los Angeles, United States. “President Alberto Fernández together with Minister Martín Guzmán (Economy), Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero and other officials worked today preparing Argentina’s participation in the Summit of the Americas,” spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti wrote via Twitter.

The head of state confirmed his presence at the Summit last Wednesday, after his attendance had been questioned by the non-invitation of the United States to Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
 
As confirmed by the spokeswoman of the Presidency, the head of state sent a letter to the organization of the international meeting to confirm his attendance on June 9 and 10. Fernandez will leave for the U.S. city of Los Angeles next Tuesday night and is scheduled to arrive in Argentina early next Saturday, June 11.
