Long weekend: more than 300,000 passengers for Aerolineas Argentinas

For the long weekend, Aerolineas Argentinas will transport more than 300,000 passengers. According to Télam, the 10 best-selling destinations are Córdoba, Iguazú, Mendoza, Bariloche, Salta, Ushuaia, Tucumán, Neuquén, El Calafate and Comodoro Rivadavia. Among these places, 56% of the passages are concentrated. In that sense, between Thursday 16 and Monday 21, the company will have more than 250 daily departures throughout its network of flights and tactical reinforcements to and from the most relevant destinations at the tourist level. In this way, the occupancy of the flights will average 87% with peaks of 91% and there will be full occupancy in the main destinations.
The president of Aerolineas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani, explained that “these numbers express the good moment that tourism is going through in the country, with a rapid recovery and a future projection that is very promising. This industry contributes billions of dollars to GDP and is undoubtedly a fundamental engine for economic development.” For its part, the Argentine Chamber of Tourism reported high hotel occupancy in destinations such as Bariloche (90%), Trelew and Puerto Madryn (85%), Ushuaia (85%), Mendoza (95%), San Rafael (92%), Salta (80%), Cafayate (95%), Tafí del Valle (85%) and Iguazú (90%) among others.
