A woman and her teenage daughter, murdered in Cuajinicuilapa, Guerrero

Armed men shot dead a woman and her underage daughter, who were traveling in a van early Friday on the Pinotepa Nacional-Cuajinicuilapa federal highway, in the Costa Chica region of Guerrero.
In the attack, the driver of the vehicle, who is the father of the teenager, was injured.
Local authorities reported that the two women who died as a result of the armed attack are Anahí “N”, 35, and her daughter Grisel, 14. The injured man, José Luis “N”, was driving the Toyota truck.

In the place where the attack occurred, long gun cartridges were located and the victims’ truck, with Guerrero plates, had about 20 bullet wounds, according to official versions.
The bodies of mother and daughter were found inside the van. The father, wounded in the right leg, was transferred by private individuals to his home located in the municipality of Cuajinicuilapa.
Versions spread on social networks indicate that Anahí “N” is the niece of the former mayor of Cuajinicuilapa, Alejandro Marín Mendoza, of Morena.

So far, the Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has not issued any statement about what happened.
In recent months, Cuajinicuilapa was the scene of another violent event. On April 9, Frida Alondra, 17, left her home in Cuajinicuilapa to go to the neighboring town of San Juan Bautista Lo de Soto, in Oaxaca, and disappeared on the way.
Three days after her disappearance, Frida Alondra was found murdered on a dirt road in the community of San Juan Bautista Lo de Soto.
Residents of Cuajinicuilapa fear that a wave of violence will be unleashed in the municipality.
